Vicki's been doing my returns for about 10 years now and has done a good job every year. She's really good about answering questions and clearing up grey areas. Also, cheaper than H&R Block.

Cassels & Co., Inc did my taxes when I lived in VA and GA back in the early 2000's and for a good price. Currently they're helping me go back with my 2005 taxes after I moved out of the state and worked for several companies living in serveral states. I did taxes myself 2005 online and screwed things up losing quite a bit of money when VA called me just a while ago. I truly appreciate Victoria Cassels ability to explain things in lay-men's terms without being condencending and then laying out a clear plan to resolve the problem. Cassels & Co., Inc also provided advice on personal finances after the sudden loss of money that I really appreciate and look forward to the option of acquiring their help in the future. I'll be using them for 2012 taxes onwards even though I live out of state. Easy to call them (540) 989-8691, so why go to a big name company when you can get better service for a cheaper price?

I used H&R block to do my taxes for a couple of years because I didn't know any better, but then a good friend recommended Vicki at Cassels & Co. to do my taxes and it has been infinitely better. I really wish I had known to go to a small company like theirs before. Vicki gives me so much time and charges so little compared to the big companies. I honestly think she should charge more, but I'm happy with it of course. Any time I call, she is glad to talk to me about any accounting-related thing (she's so friendly we can talk about other things too), but no matter how stupid my question is, she is so patient and kind, explains everything really clearly, and follows up promptly with anything I asked her to do. She's also brought to my attention a couple of tax credits that I didn't know about that I was eligible for, so I was really appreciative of that. There's just a really nice, high-quality, comfortable, local feel to it that you just can't get at a big company.
